The gap of the teeth lost due to various reasons can be closed with support from neighboring teeth. Existing adjacent teeth are cut and covered and combined with the body that fills the space in the middle. Metal and zirconium can be used as infrastructure for porcelain. Zirconium bridges are more successful in terms of aesthetics and porcelain resistance.

How Is Bridge Treatment Applied?

First of all, the supporting teeth are cut and reduced. Then, it is measured orally and sent to the laboratory. In the next session, the metal and zirconium infrastructure prepared in the laboratory is rehearsed. Later, porcelain is processed on these infrastructures. Porcelains are rehearsed in the last session. If a complete fit is achieved, the prosthesis is finished and attached to the teeth.

What Are The Disadvantages Of Bridge Therapy?

The biggest disadvantage of this treatment is that the adjacent healthy teeth will be cut and reduced. In addition, since the bottom of the body called the body is empty, food accumulation can be at a high level. Therefore, it should be carefully cleaned and adequate hygiene should be provided. Otherwise, they may cause odor problems in the mouth.
