Fiber Post

Fiber Post

In some cases, the upper structure of the root canal treated teeth may be very insufficient for any procedure. In such cases, the upper part of the canal filling is removed and fiber reinforced long pin-like materials called post are adapted and adhered with special adhesive cements. By making support with filling material around the post, sufficient superstructure is formed for the porcelain coating to adhere.

What Is The Difference Between Post And Implant Process?

These procedures can be confused by our patients. Artificial tooth roots, which we call implants, are materials made of titanium that are adapted to the jawbone instead of lost teeth. Posts, on the other hand, are metal or fiber-like materials that are placed in the roots of canal treated teeth that are present in the mouth but whose superstructure is ruined.
