Retreatment

Retreatment

Inflammation, swelling and severe pain may occur in improperly made canal treated teeth. In this case, the old canal fillings are removed with special tools, the canals are reshaped, disinfected and properly filled. This process is called retreatment. The treatment is completed by applying filling, onlay or crown process to the upper structure of the tooth. In the first session, old canal fillings are removed and canals are cleaned. Dressing sessions are performed at intervals of one week until complete recovery. In the last session, the channels are filled and the treatment is completed.
